Mice — Our services include extermination of rodent pests such as mice, voles, and gophers. Mice and voles can produce up to 100 pups in just a single year. This makes them an extremely difficult pest to get control of. For mice, our services include spraying an exterior repellent, setting bait stations (kid and pet safe: locking device that requires a key to open) around the perimeter of the house as well as crawl spaces and attics, and setting live traps in other areas of the house such as mechanical rooms, pantries, and closets. Our experienced technicians will perform a mouse inspection (with a checklist) to determine where and how the mice are getting into your home. In some situations the technician will recommend a sheet rock or construction company to fill in large holes or openings, but in most cases we will be able to fill in small holes and openings with our proven three step process. Depending on the severity of the infestation our technicians will schedule a return visit to check bait stations, dispose of dead mice caught in live traps, and to reassess bait station placement. This process can take as little as a few weeks to a few months.
Voles — Voles are an extremely difficult pest to gain control of. A female vole can get pregnant every three weeks and depending on weather conditions, can produce as many as 12 pups at a time. These pests love to burrow into your yard in the winter time where they will live just on the surface between the grass and the snow. Voles live in colonies that cover about 900 square feet, and most lawns that are infested have multiple colonies. They love to feed on the thatch of your lawn so de-thatching and power raking in the spring and fall can help prevent them. As the snow begins to melt these pests will proceed in digging deep tunnels in your yard where they will begin multiplying. Most pest control companies in this area will charge a ton of money to come out and bait these pests. Much of the time these company’s technicians will simply drop bait down into the holes. This method is problematic because as soon as the bait gets moisture in it the voles become disinterested. We have custom designed vole bait stations that keep the bait suspended in a PVC tube while providing a natural tunnel for the voles to feed in. The bait doesn’t eliminate them right away, it takes a few days which is just enough time for the voles to tell their friends where the food is. If they see one of their colony eat something and abate right away they are intelligent enough to stay from it. Our bait stations also have a multiple bait dispensing system allowing more time between visits, which saves our customers money in the long run.
